Charlotte Broadbent

I joined the Burlington Community Justice Center in 2024 as the Data, Communications, and Operations Specialist. I studied political philosophy and public administration at Florida International University while working for a municipal government in the Miami metropolitan area.

Following graduation, I dedicated a year to AmeriCorps NCCC as a Field Team Leader, leading teams through disaster recovery projects and community development initiatives in Colorado, Texas, and Arkansas. After moving to Vermont in 2019, I worked as the Restorative Justice Coordinator and Interim Director at the South Burlington Community Justice Center.

My professional pursuits, which span over a decade of public service between local governments and the nonprofit sector, have been rooted in creating a more just, efficient, and empowered society.

Outside of work, you can find me in a river somewhere when the weather is nice or hiding from the cold with a book and my bug terrarium at home.
